This 240v external photocell is a very neat & simple solution to ensuring your outdoor lights automatically turn on at dusk and off again at dawn. Rated IP44, this water-resistant photocell unit is ideal for mounting outdoor on a wall, fence or post, acting as a night sensor. When located at the beginning of a circuit, it can control the entire 240v garden system up to a total of 1000W.

It is supplied complete with 2 x cable glands for for the input and output cables, which result in a secure connection, physically clamping the cable in place and also protecting the connections further from water; rated IP68 (do not submerge in water due to 240v mains power). There are 6 self sealing membrane inlets around the edge of the unit, which means the cable glands can be installed in whichever is more suitable for your application. A terminal block is housed within the box polypropene reinforced glass fibre casing for ease of wiring.
