The Texecom Connect SmartCom CEL-0001 is an innovative Ethernet and WiFi intelligent communicator designed to bring the Premier Elite product line into the modern era of cloud technologies. Compatible with Premier Elite panels running firmware version 5.0 or higher, this device allows users to transition their security systems to utilize Texecom's advanced cloud services seamlessly.
Powered directly from the panel, the SmartCom can be conveniently installed adjacent to it and connects via two COM ports, ensuring easy access to the Texecom Connect App, ARC reporting, and UDL support through Wintex. This device eliminates the need for complicated network configurations, as it supports DHCP addressing and enables remote connections without requiring port forwarding, enhancing security and user convenience.
The SmartCom also features a simple user web page for easy WiFi configuration, making it accessible for both trade professionals and homeowners. It is recommended to use COM1 and COM2 for installation, but the included COM port expander allows flexibility for other configurations.
